I like to use fresh evergreen pieces (given away free at the Christmas tree lots) and holly (cut from our holly tree in the backyard). Combined with inexpensive satin Christmas ornaments from the dollar store ($1.00 for a package of 12), it makes a lovely table. You can also tie on some cinnamon sticks for a nice scent.
