White Chocolate Popcorn With Valentine Candies Posted: 02 Feb 2010 01:46 AM PST This sweet and savory popcorn will have your sweetheart begging for more. It’s got all the things you love, a perfect combination: popcorn, chocolate, and m&ms! Supplies for White Chocolate Popcorn:
First, pop your popcorn. I used the Homemade Microwave Popcorn recipe, then poured it into a large bowl. I popped two bags to make what you see above. Pour your melted white chocolate on top and stir. Toss in your m&ms, and mix it all around, getting your m&ms distributed everywhere. Let this sit at room temperature for a couple of hours to let the chocolate harden, or you can put it in the fridge for 20 minutes or so. Then it’s ready to grab and munch. You can put a few handfuls into cute cellophane bags wrapped with ribbon to give as a Valentine’s treat to your loved ones. Share and Bookmark:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
A Little Trick for Cutting Symmetrical Hearts Posted: 02 Feb 2010 12:18 AM PST My kids are always asking me to cut out hearts for them, “I just can’t do it” they say! So today I taught them how to cut out a symmetrical heart using this little trick below. Now we’ve got hearts all over the place, ready for Valentine’s Day projects! Supplies for Cutting Hearts:
Fold your small paper in half and using your pencil, draw a half of a heart on the folded side. Here’s what it looks like if you do it on the wrong side. It’s good to show this to your kids, letting them know how important it is to draw on the folded side of the paper. Let your kids cut out the hearts on the fold, following the pencil line. My daughter, 4 years old, loved cutting these out and did a pretty good job. My son, 7 years old, was able to draw his own half hearts and then cut them out. We now have hearts-a-plenty, looking like we’ve had a bit of a Heart-Attack!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
